Charlotte Illini Club: A 20-year-old startup

Hello and welcome to the always-improving Charlotte Illini Club website. We have been in existence (technically) for about 20 years, but as the Charlotte area continues to grow and attract professionals from across the world -- including hundreds of your fellow Illini -- we decided it's time to formalize the chapter by engaging with the University of Illinois Alumni Association. 
 

After spearheading the growth of the chapter in recent years, Lucas Allen (LAS '99) and John Knollhoff (CBA '04) have asked to shift to the chapter "athletic department" (aka Game Watch Coordinators). We hope to hold formal elections in 2025—and we're certainly on the lookout for more officers/volunteers—but for now, these individuals have agreed to lead the chapter on an interim basis:

President: Doug Ashburn (ACES '89)

Game Watches: Lucas Allen (LAS '99), John Knolhoff (CBA '04)

Social: Barbara Rozgonyi (CBA '80)

Philanthropy: Victoria O'Keefe (AHS '16)

Treasurer: Cameron Letterly (BS, FAA '16; MLS, FAA '19; MBA, '19)

Interested in joining a board and/or a committee? Here are a few ideas regarding our needs:

• Secretary/Webmaster -- get trained on our UIAA portal and help with email campaigns and events.
• Recruitment -- There are over 1,000 Illini in the area, and while attendance has been growing, there's a LOT more potential.
